Testing Required:

Hybrid Role: Must be available to work on-site at this assigned work location, as needed

Emergency Response: Yes – Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE’s emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.

Job Summary

An opportunity to be one of the first hires in a brand new DTE office; will be involved in shaping the strategy for IT sourcing. Will be part of a small and nimble team of advanced sourcing professionals, focusing on shaping internal IT sourcing needs into a robust sourcing strategy. Develops and oversees IT sourcing procurement to ensure strong relationships with sourcing partners as well as robust adherence to business processes. Will be primary point of contact for sourcing partners, conduct day to day operations with supplier partners, escalate issues as needed, and conduct regular meetings to communicate health of partnerships. Assists with creation and takes ownership of adherence to ongoing process improvements, including service review and performance reports.

Key Accountabilities

  • Build and maintain business unit transaction processing group; sets standards for accuracy and efficiencybased on third-party benchmark; drives continuous improvement to achieve benchmark performance.

  • Manages performance of professional-level staff to ensure timely and accurate processing, andmaintenance of system data (e.g., establishing contracts and suppliers, P2P activities.)

  • Coordinates with various departments (legal, audit, AP, Contract Administration) as required to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures and to ensure effective workflow for process hand-offs.

  • Manage vendor relationships (supported by Buyers) to ensure effective contract management and promptvendor payments.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain management and procurement or related experience

  • Minimum of 2 years leadership

Other Qualifications

Preferred

  • Experience establishing win-win supplier relationships – 80% of role is acting as primary point of contact for supplier partners representing the DTE Energy Performance Assurance & Sourcing Office. Remaining 20% of role is ensuring governance processes are followed, handling escalations, and service review.

  • Understanding of pricing mechanisms and management for outsourced services and their link to service levels

  • Master’s Degree

  • Superior communication, negotiation, and influencing skills shown through demonstrated ability to build trust-based relationships with other stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, drive, ability to effectively handle and resolve problems.

  • Ability to multitask - This role will have to track sourcing for many partners; it’s important to be able to handle multiple projectssimultaneously and be comfortable context switching quickly.

  • Previous experience of working with IT sourcing suppliers in a managed services environment is a huge plus.

  • Previous experience working with a utility is a plus.
