MidAmerican Energy Company Digital Marketing Representative in Des Moines, Iowa

Coordinates and partners with IT team and/or others in planning for, making and testing upgrades and/or replacement of MidAmerican Energy's customer and employee-facing digital platforms including websites, portals, intranet and future digital resources.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Function)

Coordinates schedule for new website and intranet launches and performs day-to-day responsibilities for electronic content approval, migration, publishing, archiving processes, and digital site platform and performance enhancements to ensure that sites reflect brand standards, current, search-friendly content, enhance the user experience and serve target audience needs. Collaborate with Corporate Communications team, information technology (IT) team, including customer support, other business units and others to help ensure an integrated, seamless customer-first oriented user experience in systems, applications, technology, data integration, processes. Serves as point person for adding information to be published and/or archived and maintaining content management system (CMS), database(s) and media library that feed external website and intranet. (45%)

Codes as needed to publish and/or integrate with existing website/intranet content and/or link to other application interfaces. Assesses customer needs, writes requirements to be used for development and replacement of company website, online newsroom, and intranet in responsive design that complies with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 AA rating. Writes test scripts and conducts quality assurance (QA) testing, usability testing to ensure digital resources function properly and provides ease of use for target audiences. (25 %)

Serves as liaison with Information Technology (IT) representatives and others to coordinate plans and schedules for digital platform security updates, system operation reliability, upgrades, API specifications for system interfaces, routine or emergency maintenance, governance, and other system needs. (15 %)

Integrates Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager into website coding, and integrates tracking systems for social media, downloads from website, video views, etc. Maintains digital analytics and works to increase website traffic, engagement, conversions. Positively influences website performance, optimization, and customer experience to maximize impact from digital investments to attract and engage targeted audiences, and performs other duties as assigned. (15 %)

Bachelor's Degree in digital marketing, computer science, project management, information technology, public relations; or equivalent work experience. (Typically, six years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying of this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)

Three years' experience in digital project coordination and CMS data entry including website, portal, intranet development, analysis, testing and support.

Proficiency in HTML coding required.

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, accuracy, excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interface with all levels within the organization and in interacting with customers required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook, and experience with content management system (CMS), Oracle WebCenter Sites content management system (CMS) Oracle database, APEX applications, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Digital Asset Library (DAL) Project Management Professional certification (PMP) and work with on-premises systems in a Linux environment preferred.
