MidAmerican Energy Company Digital Marketing Manager in Des Moines, Iowa

Serves as project manager and partners with IT team and/or others in development, upgrades and/or replacement of MidAmerican Energy-s customer and employee-facing digital platforms including websites, portals, intranet and development of future digital resources.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Function)

As part of the overall marketing strategy, create and lead plans for digital site platforms (both internal and external) to ensure an integrated customer-first user experience. This would include digital site platform and performance enhancements to ensure that sites reflect brand standards and contain current, search-friendly content, as well as electronic content approval, migration, publishing and archiving processes. Collaborate with Corporate Communications team, information technology (IT) team and other business units to create a unified and seamless user experience across platforms. (50 percent)

Assess customer needs, writing requirements to be used for development, and manages replacement of company website and online newsroom in responsive design that complies with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 AA rating. Writes test scripts and conducts quality assurance (QA) testing, usability testing to ensure digital resources function properly and provides ease of use for target audiences. (25 percent)

Develops and maintains digital analytics with an emphasis on increasing website traffic, engagement, conversions, and key performance indicators (KPIs), including website performance, optimization, and user experience analysis to maximize impact from digital investments. (15 percent)

Serves as liaison with Information Technology (IT) representatives and others to coordinate plans for digital platform security, operation, upgrades, API specifications for system interfaces, maintenance, governance, other system needs, and other duties as assigned. (10 percent)

Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.

Bachelor's degree in digital marketing, computer science, project management, information technology, public relations; or equivalent work experience. (Typically, six years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying of this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)

Six to eight years of hands-on experience in digital project management including website, portal, intranet development, analysis, testing and support.

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, accuracy, excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interface with all levels within the organization and in interacting with customers required.

Experience in directing third-party firms in creating website design and customer experience projects, and enforcing website branding standards; utilizing and interpreting results from market research firms.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Publisher and Outlook, and HTML coding, and experience with content management system (CMS), Oracle WebCenter Sites content management system (CMS) Oracle database, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Digital Asset Library (DAL) Project Management Professional certification (PMP) and work with on-premises systems in a Linux environment preferred.
