Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Function) The business specialist is responsible for weekly and monthly reporting, ensuring the development and maintenance of the company's corporate emergency readiness plans, HR and DEI outreach activities, event planning, high-level administrative and clerical support, responding to information requests and invoice processing for human resources and facilities. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: planning and executing the internship program events, coordinating campus recruiting and intern hiring activities and developing critical reporting that tracks results from all campus and internship recruiting. Typical Duties Plan and execute internship program events and on campus recruiting activities. Performs high-level administrative functions which includes: coordinating the timely completion of weekly and monthly reports, invoice and expense report processing; independently analyzing complex information requests, meeting arrangement, drafting correspondence and analyzing complex trends. Ensures the development and maintenance of the company's corporate emergency readiness plans. Assists with special projects and ad-hoc requests including research, gathering and validating data and summarizing results for management Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. Associate's degree in business, communications or related major or equivalent work experience. (Typically, four years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess an associate's degree.) A minimum of four years of related experience is required as well as demonstrated administrative experience. Two years of experience in event planning is preferred. Ability to interface with executive management. Advanced software skills in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Effective interpersonal skills, a customer-service focus and the ability to work as a member in a team-oriented environment. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
