The Dell Power Plant is hiring for an Operations Manager to oversee the monitoring, inspection, and control of all power production, auxiliary and facility equipment to ensure safe, compliant, continuous and efficient operations. The Operations Manager leads a team of approximately 15 personnel for the 24-hour operation of a combined cycle natural gas plant.

The power plant is nestled approximately 9 miles south from the Arkansas-Missouri border and is within an hour of Memphis TN and Jonesboro AR. The plant has three generating units, two gas GE 7FA combustion turbine generators and one steam GE D-11 turbine generator, with the ability to produce 580 MW total.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, the qualified candidate must:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or 8 yrs. experience with combined cycle power plants, minimum five years supervising personnel.

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of combustion turbine operations theory.

  • Possess broad knowledge of electrical equipment including but not limited to generators, exciters, voltage regulators, switchgear, motors, small transformers, and HVAC.

  • Possess broad knowledge of mechanical equipment including but not limited to engines, turbines, pumps, filters, valves, regulators, dampers, and coolers.
