This position is responsible for providing career/senior level administrative support to the Customer Delivery Organization. At this level, the individual has developed knowledge and skills through formal training or considerable work experience. This level works with a limited degree of supervision and serves in a non-exempt capacity. Individuals at this level provide administrative support to multiple supervisors and managers within the Customer Delivery department. The individual is also the primary contact for the work area.

The major job responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Uses business software applications (e.g. Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, minutes, etc.- On and offsite meeting and event planning- Schedule meetings and video conferences at facilities across Duke Energy- Maintains files, email, and calendars for the supervisor team- Receives, screens and directs incoming calls, visitors, and mail- Responsible for arranging business travel, coordinating meeting arrangements, catering, and tracking expenses- Additional projects and tasks as assigned by hiring manager

Work Environment:

  • Performs work in normal office environment; may be required to provide assistance in multiple areas as needed- Prolonged sitting at desk/computer- May be required to travel for training, meetings, and/or assistance at other sites and may be required to work overtime

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent- 8 or more years of relevant experienceDesired Qualifications:- Associate's degree- Experience working in a fast-paced, demanding environment with changing conditions- Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint- Demonstrated ability to communicate (both written and oral) in a clear, concise, and effective manner- Ability to effectively interface with multiple people across a department (e.g. managers, supervisors, employees) and external customers
