General Summary:

Hooper is seeking a Interns to join our dedicated team. You'llwork closely with Project Managers assisting with all aspects of project management, including preparation of projectestimates, procuring materials, creating product shop drawings, issuing subcontracts, attending pre-bid and other project progress meetings, and much more.

An internship with Hooper is an opportunity to turn classroom lessons into real-life skills, build your network, and make some money, all while being a valued member of a supportive team who wants to help you launch a career in construction management.

You'll learn all about establishing project objectives, costs, timelines, budgets, policies, performance expectations and safety standards. Hands-on exposure through site visits, project progress reports, performance evaluations, safety meetings and working closely with field crew supervision will be part of your daily routine.

About you

• You are pursuing a degree in Engineering or Project Management and are preferably at the junior or senior level.

• You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and are a natural leader.

• Knowledge, exposure to, or experience in the construction industry is preferred but not required.

• You work well in a team environment and enjoy collaborating with coworkers.

• You're proficient with Microsoft Suite. A basic familiarity with AutoCAD and/or other software applicable to the construction industry is a plus, but not required.

• You are available to work full-time 40 hours per week during the summer.

• You have the ability to travel to jobsites and be outside in all kinds of weather to survey site conditions and resolve coordinator issues with the trades.

• You have a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles you may be driving and an acceptable driving record

• You are eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
