Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Protection Foreman to join our team. The Fire Protection Foreman will be responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and installation of fire protection systems on various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of fire protection systems, strong leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

Coordinate with project managers to plan and schedule fire protection system installations and maintenance activities.

Ensure that all fire protection work is completed according to project specifications, budget, and timeline.

Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays promptly.

Supervision and Leadership:

Lead and supervise a team of fire protection journeymen, apprentices, and subcontractors.

Provide guidance and training to team members to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.

Conduct regular inspections of work progress and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Installation and Maintenance:

Oversee and installation of fire protection systems including testing and commissioning.

Coordinate with shop and suppliers to procure necessary materials and equipment for installations and maintenance projects.

Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance activities on fire protection systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with codes and regulations.

Quality Assurance:

Implement quality control measures to ensure that all fire protection work meets industry standards and customer requirements.

Conduct quality inspections and address any deficiencies or non-conformities promptly.

Document all work activities, including inspections, maintenance records, and project documentation.

Safety and Compliance:

Enforce strict adherence to safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.

Ensure compliance with local building codes, NFPA standards, and other regulatory requirements related to fire protection systems.

Investigate and report any safety incidents or near misses, and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire protection systems.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and blueprints.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.

  • Certification as a Fire Protection Journeymen Sprinkler Fitter or similar credentials is required.

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
