Position Specific Description

This position sits within the Power Generation Division which is responsible for all of NextEra Energy's non-nuclear generation operations, exceeding 40,000 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity.

This individual will lead the operation and maintenance activities for all solar and storage facilities in the Colorado Area. This individual is also responsible for the safety of all personnel working on the solar and storage assets as well as delivering on key performance indicators including availability, production, and cost. This position will report to the Mountain West Regional Production Manager II.

This position is based at Titan Solar Project near Deer Trail, CO.

Job Overview

Leaders in this role provide a first line of guidance for PV Solar Field Technicians. Individuals are responsible for overseeing a team of technicians involved in the operation and maintenance of PV solar and battery energy storage equipment on multiple solar power plants to achieve safe, efficient, and environmentally sound plant operations. This position ensures the constant application of, and compliance with, company policies and administrative, maintenance, and safety procedures, as well as related accepted practices and letters of instruction.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides career and performance management of a team of PV Solar Field Technicians

  • Ensures the safety of site personnel by promoting and enforcing the corporate safety culture and policies

  • Provides front-line supervision of technicians performing preventative and corrective maintenance on solar and energy storage power generation equipment

  • Applies advanced understanding of technical process to improve equipment capabilities

  • Provides electrical safe work practices coaching

  • Serves as qualified reliever in the absence of site management

  • Leads teams in Quality Improvement (QI) projects

  • Completes special projects or complex task assignments

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to achieve business unit objectives

  • Documents work execution and field changes utilizing Maximo

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED

  • Experience: 5+ years

  • Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience

  • Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified

  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certified

The base pay for this position is $87,200.00 to $130,800.00 per year. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.
