What You Will Do:

  • Negotiate crossing and agreements and report One-Call Violations.

  • Document and educate third party contractors that violate One Call Law.

  • Respond to One Call’s within the designated area of responsibility.

  • Ensure a Crossing and/or Proximity agreement is completed and filed prior to crossing.

  • Perform all tasks relating to line crossing: determine crossing location by using alignment sheets and drawings, contact foreign crosser/landowner as necessary to review crossing; use line locator to locate line, probe, and stake line, monitor/inspect (oversee) actual line crossing and complete crossing report.

  • Take appropriate measures (e.g., awareness follow-up procedures/cease digging) to ensure the integrity of the pipeline during abnormal right-of-way conditions (any excavation near the line) and follow up with supervisor.

  • Investigate, confirm and complete Aerial Patrol Reports as the need arises.

  • Provide effective assistance in emergency response including containment, repair and cleanup as well as emergency preventative actions relating to abnormal right-of-way conditions to avert any possible incident.

  • Perform all applicable tasks relating to pipeline repair, pipeline integrity, line crossing using appropriate Company procedures including but not limited to tasks listed in Company manuals.

  • Complete required Performance Based Training and become Operator Qualified on all required covered tasks prior to performing work independently and oversee those not qualified when required.

  • Act as a Company inspector of contract work as required.

  • Ensure ROW signage meets company requirements.

  • Maintenance of station pumping equipment, piping, grounds, & buildings.

  • Alcohol free on call rotation for the area of responsibility.

  • Meet all required metrics identified within the Safety & Reliability Scorecard

  • Assist in meeting Regional Stakeholder Engagement Plan

Who You Are:

You have the following education and experience:

  • High School Diploma with at least 2 years of experience.

  • Must be committed to and able to display integrity, safety, and respect in the workplace.

  • Must be safety conscious and committed to working in a safe environment.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license & excellent driving record.

  • Proficient in computer skills including Excel, MS Word, Outlook, and aptitude for several other specialized programs.

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, physical, and background check.

  • Communications skills to properly plan work negotiate agreement and ensure requirements are met with third party contractors.

Working Conditions:

  • Field work can include long hours under various extremes of weather involving strenuous physical labor.

  • Extensive driving times to cover entire respective area.

Physical Requirements:

Include but are not limited to: Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying ( up to 50 amount of pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (objects 50 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
