Sr Analyst : Expected salary range of $92,000-$115,000 , varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION: Analyst II

The Analyst II Volume Management position is a critical role within Constellation that works within a team-based environment complete volumetric accounting close, volumetric invoice approval, LDC invoice payments, and internal costing calculations to ensure they are done accurately and timely. The Analyst must have the ability to achieve desired results within tight deadlines and adapt to ever-changing energy industry guidelines and internal systems and processes.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Analyst II

  • Responsible for the accurate entry and data integrity maintenance within Constellation's systems - customer attributes, accounting close, cashouts, imbalance/inventory, and billed volume data.

  • Establish professional relationships with internal/external departments and customers with a focus on providing accurate internal costing calculations and deadline driven volume approvals for billing purposes.

  • Ensure quality control of reports, data, analytics, and processes to mitigate risk to Constellation and customer; track and reconcile monthly metrics, specifically related to maintaining high standards around accounting close and volumetric reconciliations.

  • Reconcile Constellation Utility pool invoices - review, address any discrepancies with utility/pipe, approve and submit for timely payment. Manage customer owned transportation invoices, as applicable.

  • Ensure compliance with all business and SOX key controls to provide accurate volumetric billing and reporting of accounting financials, with minimal adjustments.

  • Effortless Customer Experience – address phone calls, emails and outstanding Customer Care tickets swiftly to ensure long-term customer satisfaction with Constellation.

  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of products offered, utility tariffs and customer contracts to ensure a solid understanding of the governing rules and regulations that impact both our customers and Constellation.

  • Support additional secondary LDC by demonstrating ability to perform monthly or day-to-day responsibilities in the absence of team members; Challenge the status quo to automate and improve processes through innovation, with focus and intent on creating sustainable solutions.

  • Leverage knowledge and experience in working with project groups, Information Technology, and cross-functional teams for key deliverables.

  • Identify and create business requirements based on changing business needs.

  • Develop test scripts for business processes, system enhancements and bug fixes as needed.

Travel required as necessary to meet business needs.

In-person attendance for trainings, team meetings, and other moments that matter.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Analyst II

  • 4-year degree and minimum of 2 years relevant experience

  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of a 4-year degree

  • Strong computer background/experience, including Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, with internal and external parties as required.

  • Established analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Customer service orientation, serving internal and external clients.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Capable of working independently and as a team member.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills - ability to organize and prioritize a fast-paced, heavy workload.

  • Ability to adapt to changing markets, systems, and processes.

  • Ability to obtain and analyze data with general supervision and can reason through scenarios to suggest course of action or remediation.

  • Has acquired a high-level understanding of the group's overall processes, with process improvement in mind. (Challenge the status quo)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience in the retail energy industry and/or regulated energy industry

  • Prior experience in the retail energy industry using CRM and/or Order-to-Cash workflow systems

  • Working knowledge of UDC/ISO/LDC market EDI transactions

  • Expert MS Excel/technical skills– Pivot Tables, Vlookups, IF statements, Macros

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Access and/or SQL database query development
