AES Senior Rate and Regulatory Analyst in Dayton, Ohio

Main Responsibilities:

  • Participate and/or lead in the use and development of moderately complex analytical tools to support regulatory planning and regulatory filings.

  • Support AES Ohio case initiatives, including but not limited to, development of testimony, responding to discovery requests, responding to audits, and participating in witness preparation.

  • Prepare graphic illustrations to present data quickly and in a comprehensive manner to executive leadership.

  • Prepare reports, special studies, and ad-hoc analyses as may be requested from time to time.

  • Stay current with developments in regulatory proceedings and Commission decisions of other utility companies.

  • Carries out projects and data analysis


  • Analytical problem-solving skills including researching data and preparing and presenting analyses

  • Project management skills including developing, maintaining, and analyzing project work schedules

  • Excellent communications both written and verbal including coordinating and consulting with internal stakeholders to develop actionable regulatory planning and filing recommendations

  • Good organizational skills, ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines

  • Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Suite, Excel and Access

  • Self -starter and capable of functioning with minimum supervision


Four-year college degree (or equivalent).
