Under direct supervision, is responsible for assignments involving the collection, classification and analysis of economic, financial and tariff data relating to rate design, modification and evaluation: Performs studies of residential, commercial and industrial loads and the relation of these loads to cost and pricing. Prepares forecasts of future years ‘demands, sales and revenue.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Assists in the design of new tariff or modifies existing tariffs to satisfy revenue requirements for the company or to accomplish specific goals
Prepares studies relative to costs of service for various loads classifications or both present loads and any forecasted future load classifications which might be needed
Prepares graphic illustration to present data quickly and in a comprehensive manner.
Provides assistance in the design and implementation of computer programs and systems for rate making and other analysis.
Prepares reports and special studies as may be requested from time to time.
Keeps a breast of current developments in the field of regulatory proceedings and decisions, statistical methodology, new and revised tariffs of other companies, and economic and financial trends.
Four years of college degree (or equivalent) in Business, Economics or Mathematics.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Skilled in researching data and preparing analysis
Excellent communications both written and verbal
Good organizational skills, be able to prioritize the work and meet deadlines.
Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Suite, Excel and Access.
Self -starter and capable of functioning with minimum supervision
One to three years of experience
