Volt Power, LLC is currently seeking a qualified Mechanic with Heavy Duty experience to perform repairs and preventative maintenance for commercial utility vehicles in the our Dallas TX shop. This position will report to directly to the Lead Mechanic and will support Volt Power’s Fleet organization.


  • Repair of construction type fleet equipment and vehicles

  • Repairs diesel engines and hydraulic systems

  • Use system to track progress and completion of repairs done each day

  • Generating repair orders with computerized maintenance management system and diagnostic software

  • Repair of electrical systems for utility bucket, digger and pickup trucks

  • Must be able to perform arc welding and fabrication

  • Order parts, tracking parts inventory and maintaining vendor relationships

  • Routine preventive maintenance of fleet vehicles at assigned intervals

  • Must uphold all company safety requirements on the job

  • Must be able to complete repairs on the following vehicle functions/parts:

  • DEF systems

  • Transmission repairs

  • Differential repairs

  • Air brakes

  • Vehicle A/C

  • Chassis


  • Heavy Duty Mechanic Experience required

  • Must have ability to multi-task and ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner

  • 2+ Years OTR Truck and fleet equipment experience preferred

  • Experience with diagnostic software and computer-based maintenance systems preferred

  • Ability to stand for 40+ hours per week

  • Ability to work scheduled overtime as needed

  • Travel may be necessary (overnight stays eligible for per diem)
