As an I/E&C Technician your responsibilities may also include, but are not limited to the following in accordance with relevant codes:

  • Troubleshoot and maintain Process Control Systems and DCS control interfaces, level flow and pressure measurement equipment; vibration measurement instrumentation; Low Voltage equipment; Power generation equipment and distribution equipment ranging from 480V – 138kV

  • Troubleshoot, maintain and make field repairs to Instrumented Protection System, Devices and Safety Instrumented Shutdown systems

  • Troubleshooting, calibrating, configuring, repairing and replacement of electronic transmitters, transducers and DCS components

  • Install, test, troubleshoot and repair fire and gas detection equipment and control systems

  • Install, test, troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) including correcting ladder logic

  • Troubleshooting, calibration and making field repairs to control valves, positioners, and actuators

  • Overhauling, repairing and calibrating displacer level controls

  • Troubleshoot, calibrate, maintain and repair Pneumatic Equipment

  • Troubleshooting, calibrating and repairing pressure switches and regulators

  • Understanding of proper application of pressure rated piping/tubing fittings

  • Test, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electric heat trace and controls

  • Initiate, review, and support and use work permits and the Permit to Work Process

  • Initiate, review, and support the development and use of Policies, Procedures, Work Instructions, Pre-Job Briefings, and Job Safety Analysis, Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)

  • Execute and continuously improve Policies, Procedures, Work Instructions, Job Aids, and Forms

  • Travel to existing facilities and vendor/licensors training locations as required (varies based on job assignment)
