Ampirical HR Generalist II in Covington, Louisiana

Description

The HR Generalist for Compensation and Benefits will provide day to day support for the company’s compensation and benefits programs. Responsibilities include providing strategic and tactical support for health benefits plans, compensation plans and programs as well as all other employee benefits programs. The HR Generalist will also be responsible for managing employee benefits program data in the HRIS tool.

Administration of Benefits

  • Assist employees with life events

  • Review and approve benefit elections in HRIS

  • Enter benefit elections on carrier websites as needed

  • Follow-up with new hires to ensure they are electing benefits timely

  • Review and reconcile monthly carrier statements

  • Process address changes in HRIS and update carrier websites as needed

  • Update life insurance benefits in HRIS when EOIs are approved by the carrier

  • Update benefits information on employee intranet

  • Send COBRA General Notices to employees

  • Distribute SPDs annually to all employees and at time of hire for new employees

  • Assist with annual open enrollment

  • Assist with distribution of required annual notices

  • Assist with benefit plan annual renewals

  • Assists with building Open Enrollment sessions and approving benefits for new

Compensation Program

  • Evaluate new hire salary offers

  • Evaluate salary increases for promotions

  • Benchmark jobs as needed to maintain accurate salary ranges and competitiveness

  • Process promotion and salary changes in HRIS

  • Enter pay changes on carrier websites for life, STD & LTD

  • Save documents related to promotions and salary in employee files

Other Duties

  • Maintain labor law posters, binders and e-services

  • Assist Sr. HR Manager with other tasks as needed

  • Annual preparation of 1095-C Returns

  • Assist with completion of annual EEO-1 filings

  • Manage bonus requests

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business and minimum 4+ years of combined compensation and benefits experience or in lieu of degree minimum 6+ years of combined experience in compensation and benefits.

  • Demonstrated ability to engage in critical thinking by using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

  • Strong verbal and written skills needed for communication that is appropriate and effective for the needs of the audience.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Experience/working knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) including UKGPro, applicant tracking, or similar systems, preferred.

  • Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, and ability to work independently with strict timelines.
