This position will oversee a team of supervisors assigned to lead materials inventory in all inventory IBU’s across all service territories, including remotely controlled locations ensuring key processes (planning, replenishment, blanket purchase orders, inventory accuracy, timely cycle counting practices, and routine procurements) are provided to keep the Company’s operations and financial accuracy for inventory is running optimally. Interact with assigned operating areas, legal staff, procurement, and supplier community to carry out duties. Ensures compliance with SOX and Supply Chain Policies and Procedures.
SALARY RANGE: $87,600 - $144,400 (Determined by the knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant.)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Oversee a team of supervisors to lead materials inventory in all inventory business units (warehouses) to ensure high quality and safety-conscious processes and practices are in place.
Responsible for management of materials movement from suppliers to warehouse locations and capital project locations to include supporting of all Tier 1 and 2 materials requests.
Coordinate with Construction Planning Managers and Project Managers (PDO/Engineering), and Operations Managers across the enterprise to ensure accurate material forecasts and that delivery expectations are met.
Support the preparation of key materials supply agreements, working closely with sourcing professionals and buyers to ensure specifications are developed and negotiations are carried out successfully.
Actively be responsible for the total cost of ownership and cost of inventory for areas of responsibility while maintaining quality and avoiding any unplanned stock-outs and downtime.
Identify process and technology improvements in the materials management area; form and lead improvement project teams.
Recommend and communicate supply chain and materials management strategy, key initiatives, progress, and results to management, including annual reviews with operations on all obsolescent or excess materials, min/max ROP reviews and Critical Spare reviews.
Coordinate the materials management loading rates for respective business units.
Conduct business dealings with the highest level of integrity and regard for corporate guidelines, legal and environmental regulations.
Work proactively with operations to plan and forecast material needs on a regular basis for all Tier 3 level inventory.
Maintain updated knowledge of rules, regulations, and standards in the field of materials management and related matters of interest to the department/division.
Explain complicated materials management problems in simple, non-technical terms to key users.
Minimum of five (5) years of warehouse or inventory management experience required.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Familiar with materials management procedures including requisitions, receipts, check-in, storage, control, and issuance of materials.
Skilled with continuous improvement methods and tools.
Knowledge of various cost reduction analysis approaches.
Working knowledge of warehouse materials management systems (e.g , PeopleSoft inventory manager, PeopleSoft MIM, STORMS, etc.).
Consistent track record in developing materials management improvement plans and leading projects to successful completion.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment.
Ability to communicate at all management levels within a customer organization.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to develop creative solutions to business problems.

Work environment: Routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate to high noise level. Worker is subject to hazards including variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts and or moving vehicles. Willing to travel up to 50% (e.g., 2 weeks or 10 days/month) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job and the employee must have proper licensing to operate a motor vehicle.
