About Transmission &Distribution:
Southern California Edison’s (SCE's) Transmission and Distribution Organizational Unit (T & D) is responsible for planning, engineering, constructing, operating, and maintaining transmission and distribution facilities throughout the 50,000-square-mile territory. T&D is the steward of roughly $19 billion in assets that safely and reliably deliver electricity to 14 million residents via SCE’s 5 million customer accounts.
The Administrative Assistant will provide support to the Principal Manager and interact daily with management, staff, and external contacts.
Typicalresponsibilities may include:
Directs internal and external customer correspondences to appropriate person/department (e.g. billing, logistics, offline support, etc.) including handling confidential and sensitive telephone calls, files, documents, and reports.
Calendars meetings, schedules and coordinates meetings, conference calls, prepares agendas, and discussion materials.
Generates and process research reports, meter order backlog, inactive lists, pending cancellations, and various other reports.
Files electronic and paper documents, including processing invoices, contracts, supply orders, purchase requests, ledgers, and expense reports.
Inputs/updates online Service Request using DM (Design Manager) (e.g. contact information, billing information, type of Service Request, time frames, project details).
Receives and reviews customer payments and contracts for accuracy and completeness including updating customer orders online when receiving and processing money.
Performs work order package breakdown into necessary post-planning packages, gather information for Planner field visit and design of project, and ensure completeness of work orders and/or resolve work order problems.
Creates and maintains a safety conscious work environment by leading and influencing others to follow Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Musthave four or more years of experience performing thorough administrative,secretarial, and clerical functions.
A combination of formal education,training, and experience to gain knowledge, skills, and abilitiesgenerally equivalent to those possessed by a high school graduate.
Demonstrated experience processingpurchase request, contracts, and invoices.
Demonstrated experience tracking,processing, and submitting supplies and/or repair/maintenance orders.
Demonstrated experience compilinginformation and entering data into computer applications.
Demonstrated experience filing electronicand paper documents.
Demonstrated experience with MicrosoftWord, and Excel to create and edit reports, graphs, schedules, matricesand convert information from one format to another.
Demonstrated experience calendaringmeetings, including scheduling and coordinating meetings and conferencecalls.
Strong oral and written communicationskills, including editing proper sentence structure, grammar, spelling,and punctuation.
Ability to provide exceptional service tointernal and external customers.
Strong ethics, interpersonal skills,communication, and the ability to effectively manage stress, engage incontinuous learning, and the ability to stay current with relevanttechnology and innovation.
Testing will berequired as part of the selection process for this position.
