Job DescriptionAvista is seeking a collaborative leader to head the electric operations in our Colville service area, working with our talented employee group to provide an exceptional experience to our customers. The Operations Manager position manages the electric operations and facilities within the Colville service area to assure customer satisfaction, quality service and efficient operation. Accountable for customer service and business results in the assigned areas of responsibility. Ensures a safe, efficient, effective, and courteous service to our customers and our employees. Establishes and maintains positive relationships within the local community. Creates a culture of safety and efficiency for our customers and our employees.

Requirements Requires demonstrated effective coaching and facilitation skills, strong interpersonal skills and problem solving ability as well as verbal communication and listening skills, and organizational leadership and budgeting skills. Must be able to work in a diverse, large service territory, and have the ability to flourish in a team environment. Current driver’s license required. A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Finance, or Engineering is a plus. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered. Knowledge of electrical or gas construction and other operations experience and a minimum of three years supervisory or manager level experience is preferred.

It is preferred that the successful candidate will reside in the community they serve, as such a relocation allowance may be awarded. It is required that the successful candidate be an integral part of the community that they serve. This expectation will be coordinated with management and any job offer will be contingent on meeting these requirements.
