NiSource Operations Coordinator - Columbus Operations in Columbus, Ohio

Provides general administrative and clerical support to Operating Center personnel.

Receives and distributes materials, processes purchase orders, orders material, processes financial transactions reports.

Warehouse duties for Columbus Operations:

Ordering materials, ensuring appropriate material delivered (reconciling invoice), and ensuring appropriate material levels are maintained

General housekeeping

Operate and maintain a fork lift

Able to lift 50lbs with little effort

Coordinate with external suppliers, vendors, and dealers as needed

Fleet duties for Columbus Operations:

Overseeing telecommunications equipment program. This includes, generating reports to ensure devices are operating properly as well as assigning and maintaining driver specific telematics devices.

Overseeing vehicle preventative maintenance. This includes generating reports and notifying drivers and mechanics.

Keeping a log vehicle and equipment inventory and location

Coordinating with external suppliers, vendors, and dealers as needed.

Taking receipt of new vehicles, including coordinating all peripheral equipment installations.

Maintain and assist with various records, reports and schedules associated with operations, building/facilities maintenance for Columbus Operations.

Create reports, spreadsheets and graphs by obtaining, compilingand organizing data.

Provides technical assistance to other staff in using various PC-based and mainframe applications.

Performs office administration functions such as: answering phones, invoice classification and processing, payment, record keeping, maintaining policy and procedures, inventory control, customer service, maintaining office supplies and other related duties as required.

Assist management with processing of human resource related items.

Good interpersonal communication skills.

Required for position:

2 years of documented proficiency with Microsoft Office in a business environment.

Administrative skills (filing, typing, phone etiquette).

Ability to work with and make progress on multiple open tasks.

Ability to prioritize work effectively to meet recurring project-specific deadlines.

Valid driver#39;s license.

Ability to operate a Fork Lift for deliveries to Operating Center.

Requires computer skills to be proficient with the following computer systems: EASI, DIS, CMS, WMS and Microsoft Office (focus on Word, Excel, Access)

2 year of experience in an office environment with direct activity in three (3) or more of the following:

Bookkeeping/accounting transactions

Material procurement invoice processing

Work management/job order processing

Front line customer contact

Office operations

Records management

Customer billing collections

Preferred for Selection:

College-level or vocational/technical coursework, certificate or degree in business, accounting, project management, or an applicable engineering/technical

Education Level

High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
