Summary
A single person accountable for safety, reliability, and affordability across the lifecycle, from conception to disposal, for an asset class. Must assess risks and identify work that optimizes safety, reliability, and affordability for the asset class.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Identifies asset risk and risk mitigation activities
Generates the annual and long-term asset management plan for the asset class
Maintains awareness of regulations and compliance requirements as they apply to the asset portfolio in general and to the asset management plan for the specific asset class
Reduces overall risk
Measures asset class performance
Performs risk analysis for an asset class and maintain oversight of the risk register
Determines reasonable timeframe to mitigate risks and develop programs to accomplish risk mitigation goals
Develops multi-year asset management plans incorporating all capital and expense activities for developing the lifecycle activities for the asset classes
Makes adjustments to the asset management plan based on the portfolio investment prioritization process
Ownership of the Asset Class review processes and meetings
Provides rate case strategy support including testimony preparation
Required Qualifications for Position
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
Comprehensive knowledge of gas utility, field operations and jurisdictional regulatory frameworks
Significant project design skills to assess scope, risks, effectiveness and financial impacts
Skilled in risk management, process control, and governance.
Knowledge and experience in asset assessment and the downstream impact on field operations
Leads industry engagement activities though active involvement in AGA, ASME B31.8S, etc.
Ability to stay current and anticipate future challenges and recommend appropriate actions
Deep analytical skills to understand data collection requirements, analyze and interpret data trends, and inform data driven understanding of risk in the asset class
Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally
Comprehensive knowledge and experience in planning and the downstream impact on sustainable business operations
Ability to forecast requirements and plan according to foreseen risks and contingencies
Drives process improvement through tool/technology improvements and other mitigation programs
Monitor and drive continual improvement in meeting asset class KPIs
Proactive in collaborating and leveraging interpersonal skills. Strong communication skills both written and oral
Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position

$150,900.00 - $226,300.00
