Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) has an immediate opening for a Part-Time Board Meeting Assistant located at Columbus General Office in Columbus , Nebraska. Position closes November 30 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time.
The incumbent will be expected to work 2-3 days per month, schedule will correlate with the scheduled board meetings for a total of 20-25 hours per month.
The incumbent provides support to the Board, executive staff, and board facilitators while assisting in the coordination of events during monthly board meetings and other scheduled monthly meetings.
Education, Training and Experience
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
Prior experience in event management preferred.
Prior NPPD experience, strongly preferred.
Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to follow directions.
Licenses and/or Certifications
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Attend and provide assistance in the coordination of NPPD’s monthly board meetings.
Acts as first point of support for board members during monthly meetings to provide assistance with schedules, meeting arrangements, technical issues, and other items as needed.
Respond in a timely manner and provide resolution to board member and executive staff requests.
Light food preparation including preparing workstation with required ingredients and equipment and keeping work area sanitary and organized throughout the shift.
Room/facility set up and clean up.
Incumbent may be requested to provide occasional physical assistance and accommodation as needed for board members or attending members of the public.
Accountable for other duties as assigned.

Salary Information - Nebraska Public Power District offers a competitive starting salary with opportunities for growth.
Pay Grade - 99
Typical Pay Grade Starting Salary Range: $25.00/hr
Travel Required: Up to 25% (With no or minimal overnight stays, less than 3 per month, typically within state of Nebraska) Travel required may fluctuate by business need. This is an estimate and will be discussed further with candidates that receive an interview.
