The Role:

This individual will often be involved in every stage of development and implementation of the communications system for the project. They will assist in analysis, procurement, implementation, and maintenance support of the project services. The successful candidate will have the skills to succeed in leading multiple projects concurrently.

The Telecom Analyst will work alongside the Project & Construction Management, Engineering, Accounting, Asset Management and Operations Technology teams leading to the successful delivery of tested and approved telecom services. Duties also include the long-term management of the services throughout operations. Specific duties will include:

Understand project requirements and provide recommendations on Telecom.

Work closely with the external project team, as well as internal project manager, construction manager, project engineer and vendors to guarantee a quality system is installed and tested to company specifications.

Support the troubleshooting of power plant communication problems during construction and operations.

Assist in vendor scheduling, installation, and subcontracting activities on large and complex facility system infrastructure

End of Life analysis in coordination with Operations Technology.

Employees must be physically capable of operating a vehicle safely, possess an appropriate valid driver's license, and have an acceptable driving record.

Follow any other job-related duties/functions requested by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or Certification in Information Technology, related field; or equivalent work experience.

2+ years of telecommunications proven experience (focusing on project management skills). Preferably for remote or renewable energy assets, with exposure to the following:

Telecom feasibility analysis

Circuit Procurement

Network analysis and design

Telco Provider and expense management.

Familiarity with project costs forecasts and budgeting.

Strong communication skills and ability to lead processes from start to finish with consistent reporting.

Need expertise and the vital skills to work with the project management team and will be instrumental in delivering internet services on time.

Solid grasp of modem/router and firewalls, Sierra Wireless, Cradlepoint, Palo Alto, Cisco, etc.

Understanding of the ordering process related to telecommunications products/services.

Experience in Telecommunications technical details and process.

Ability to multitask and prioritize different projects to meet deadlines

Project Management experience prioritizing multiple projects and consultants.

Travel:

20% travel to project sites or other regional offices may be required.

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $90.000 and $110.500/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
