AES Senior Analyst, Treasury Compliance in Colorado

The Senior Treasury Compliance Analyst will coordinate and manage the CPs for construction draws as well as help close project financings with internal departments such as Finance, Legal, Treasury and external entities such as banks, legal counsel and other financing partners. Additionally, the Senior Treasury Compliance Analyst will work with the Treasury team to help manage ongoing compliance requirements within our project financing agreements. Furthermore, the Senior Treasury Compliance Analyst will be responsible for building and managing tax equity waterfalls. This position requires a well-organized, analytic-minded individual with good interpersonal skills and great attention to detail. This position also requires a self-starter with strong time-management skills, as well as staying task focused in order to complete multiple deliverables. The candidate should enjoy organizing data, reviewing financing agreements, and working with departments across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating with internal teams to deliver required deliverables for project finance transactions

  • Interacting with external entities on matters related to project finance transactions

  • Consult with corporate attorneys as necessary to address difficult legal compliance issues

  • Monitor debt compliance systems to ensure their effectiveness

  • Design and implement improvements in communication, monitoring, or enforcement of compliance standards

  • Build and manage tax equity waterfalls and lead communication with tax equity investors regarding distributions

  • Working closely with the Treasury Manager and Treasury team members

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluating the efficiency of controls and improving them continuously

  • Perform periodic audits on Treasury department procedures and processes

  • Compliance management, development, and implementation

  • External stakeholder relations

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree with a focus in business, finance, economics, or accounting

  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience in treasury, accounting, banking, or finance

  • Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities

  • A self-starter with an analytical mindset and excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to interact with professionals in various fields (Legal (internal & external), Finance, Operations)

  • Experience with treasury and banking systems/software packages

  • Experience with SAP preferred

  • Experience building and using Excel Pivot-Tables and Queries to summarize and analyze data

  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills and basic accounting principles knowledge

  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness

  • Positive attitude and an ability to adapt to changing projects and operations

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $85,000 and $106,250/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
