Our Technology Services and Support team is seeking a Senior Hardware and Systems Technician ! You will provide system and database administration support to users across the organization and will support the performance and operational efficiency of all technical equipment (PCs, laptops, smartphones, printers, tablets), as well as their applications and operating systems. You will also contribute to the design of the Center of Excellence footprint for all of Colorado Springs Utilities. This opportunity also offers excellent career potential, where you will continue to develop expertise in a wide range of hardware and application functionality, and you will have opportunities to take on more challenging IT projects.

What will you be doing?

  • Analyzing, designing, and implementing operating systems; troubleshooting and resolving hardware and application problems; and patch management

  • Providing technical training to end-users and the team, and advice regarding information systems and connectivity issues

  • Recommending computer policies and standards for the IT department, and researching and evaluating new technologies and products

  • Monitoring and responding to a variety of complex technical hardware and software problems, and utilizing a variety of testing tools and techniques

  • Technical writing for system configuration and procedures

  • Providing guidance, training, and coaching to less experienced technicians on the team

  • Application packaging and distribution through our Enterprise Software Center

  • Managing endpoint device management systems, such as SCCM, MS Intune, Mobile Iron, Printer logic

  • Utilizing PowerShell scripts to automate processes within SCCM

  • Creating automated processes between Intune and SCCM

  • Creating compliance reporting from the endpoint management systems

Who you are...

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a closely related field

  • Advanced knowledge of SCCM administration and reporting functionality

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Azure, SCOM, Intune, patch management and compliance

  • Familiarity with PowerShell is valued

  • Certifications in any of A+, Net+, and Security+ are valued
