Colorado Springs Utilities Business Account Management Team is looking for a consultative, customer-success oriented professional to help us establish, manage, and enhance relationships with our largest business customers. In this position, you will lean on your utility (water, wastewater, gas, electric) expertise to lead strategic communication, account planning, and implementation efforts for energy and water management strategies. This includes helping our business customers leverage data, trends, renewables, water conservation, and other demand response programs offered by Colorado Springs Utilities, in-order-to streamline energy usage, realize cost savings and increase customer satisfaction. Our team consists of Key Account Managers and Mid-market Managers who serve the needs of our business community.
Key Areas of Focus:
Planning, implementing and managing all activities on behalf of our largest strategic customers with politically sensitive issues
Serving as the point of contact for understanding business customer needs and utility consumption patterns
Working with internal partners across the organization to deliver solutions and services to customers
Advising customers on demand-side management, water conservation, and renewable opportunities
Communicating with high-level executive decision-makers proactively providing utility expertise
Managing large customer projects and programs
Utilizing financial and risk analysis, as well as technical utility knowledge to manage complex utility issues
Developing account plans, including milestones, resource requirements, and deliverables
Who You are... A successful candidate would come with a Bachelor's Degree and at least five (5) years of account management experience in the utility industry working with large, complex customers and a proven track record of success in building relationships with large business customers who have complex utility systems. Experience with electric and gas is highly preferred for this role.
