The Opportunity

As the Presentation Strategist , you will have the opportunity to:

• Work alongside cross-functional creative and strategic Sales and Marketing teams

• Be responsible for the development of innovative, creative and programmatic presentation philosophies and deliverables

• Develop presentation strategies and presentation application with internal stakeholders at all levels – from senior executives to peers – across numerous internal organizations

• Lead the strategy and efforts around making dull presentations more compelling by using storytelling philosophies, theories and a variety of presentation tools to engage audiences

The Team

Black & Veatch’s Enterprise Evolution consists of critical functions focused on identifying market opportunities and bringing together our client facing and growth efforts. Functions include Enterprise Marketing & Communications, Enterprise Sales, Enterprise Strategy, Innovation, Mergers and Acquisitions and Sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develops design concepts involving highly creative and innovative approaches

• Performs expert level design, layout, planning and preparation of commercial art work for application on a wide variety of products, product literature, displays, web applications, presentation, proposals, technical manuals and similar graphics applications requiring innovative and creative capabilities

• Applies professional expertise, knowledge, principles, concepts, methodologies, and company standards/practices to designing company materials

• Works with management to set standards and practices for the function

• Provides work guidance to others in the work group

• Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts

• Evaluates impact on strategic planning objectives and strategies

• Acts in capacity of a "lead person " Does not have management responsibility for the people to whom they provide work direction

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in graphics, design, or a related field; or equivalent experience

• 7+ years related experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiar with the spectrum of marketing disciplines; including marketing communications, sales and client events, online and digital marketing as well as design and multimedia production

• Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively while bringing ideas to life is crucial to success

• Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills

• Strong organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail

• Ability to remain calm, think clearly and execute during urgent situations

• Passion for researching and exploring new presentation methods, theories, strategies and tools to deliver value to the business

• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills

• Strong project management experience and organizational proficiency, balancing multiple clients, projects and priorities

• Proficiency in effectively managing and balancing the needs of internal stakeholders, particularly at a senior leadership level

• Ability to translate business requirements and complex ideas into meaningful visual storytelling that results in impactful, creative solutions

• Capable of communicating visual and presentation concepts to colleagues who do not have a design or presentation background

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as effectively across a matrixed organization

• Proven multi-project management skills

• Significant knowledge of Microsoft application suite; specifically, PowerPoint. Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote

• Experience with diverse presentation and multi-media design tools

• Working knowledge of AP style

Work Environment/Physical Demands

Normal office environment with a hybrid work schedule: 3 days in office and 2 days remote
