Position Summary

The Regional Contract Management Supervisor will supervise the Contract Management personnel located in Bishop Ranch or Clovis, which may include Contract Administrators, Contract Specialists and Contract Performance Managers. The personnel directly managed by the Regional Contract Management Supervisor will also be matrixed to the central management of their functional area. Supervisors will work in partnership with central functional management, sourcing and the various lines of business of Transmission Operations to plan, negotiate, write, and administer the contracting process. Supervisors will be responsible for delivering quality contracts with tangible earned value to PG&E internal customers, while maintaining the highest degree of safety for employees, coworkers, service providers and the general public.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • 5 years of relative experience

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Desired:

  • Demonstrated ability to work and interact with diverse groups of people (internal and external), ability to gather and assimilate information from large groups of people, and ability to communicate effectively and professionally with people.

  • Supervisory experience leading a team of individual contributors.

  • Demonstrated understanding of the transmission line and substation construction business.

  • BA/BS in Business, Engineering, Technical or related field, or comparable job experience.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the IBEW/ESC union agreements.

  • Understanding of PG&E Contractor Safety Program, ISNetworld and Gold Shovel.

Responsibilities

Manage a team of Contract Administrators, Contract Specialists and Contract Performance Managers that are involved in:

  • Manages a 24x7 contracting program including after hour’s contract deployments.

  • Manage Contract Specialists who perform preparation of new contracts.

  • Manage the billing and ongoing administrative support for existing contracts.

  • Utilizes financial, legal, and electric system knowledge in negotiation and signing of vendorcontracts as well as in authorizing payment on contracts.

  • Coaches, develops, and leads the team members to achieve the department goals and theindividual's development objectives.

  • Contributes to group financial performance by monitoring budget and system performance,controlling costs, and reviewing and approving expenses.

  • Regular interactions with LOB’s, Environmental, Land Department and Project Management organizations.

  • Present to audiences of internal customers, stake holders, PG&E Senior Leadership and Vendors
