We are currently seeking applicants for an Instrumentation Technician 2nd Period in the Instrumentation of our Power Productions Division located at the Thomas Hill Energy Center.
The duties of an Instrumentation Technician are to assist in the performance of the Journeyman Instrumentation Technician's duties, but not necessarily working with one in such work as calibrating, repairing, installing, modifying, and cleaning instrumentation and control drives. They also assists the Journeyman Instrumentation Technician in adjusting control loops and troubleshooting, and the checkout of interlocks.
Requirement and Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Two years’ post- secondary electronics school or equivalent training, which includes basic computer systems and two years’ experience in a related field. Experience must include troubleshooting and repairing electronic control systems and computer systems. Controls or systems should be similar to those in the power plant.
