This position will be open to Internal and External applicants and will close on Thursday March 30, 2023.
The Operations Representative position will pay between $40,400.00 to $50,500.00 ; The Operations Representative Sr. position will pay between $46,120 and $57,650. Placement at any level is based on skills, experience and education of the successful candidate.
The successful candidate must live within 30 minutes of the Clayton office.

OPERATIONS REPRESENTATIVE
POSITION CONCEPT
Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of operations duties, not limited to one particular department or functional group.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs meter-reading activities, mapping, and drafting duties
Performs leak survey functions, including annual transmission and distribution system surveys and public
building inspections
Performs credit and collection duties including checking payments, preparing and delivering notices, and
disconnecting service for nonpayment of charges
Performs customer service functions, including cashiering and answering customer inquiries
Performs limited field service work, including connects, disconnects, and leak investigation
following qualifications
Conducts distribution and/or transmission construction, maintenance, installation, and emergency response
Performs limited measurement functions, including changing charts
Investigates requests and prepares measurement and cost estimate data for work orders through contact with
customers, contractors, government officials, and field inspection
Performs line-locating requests
Performs storekeeping and warehousing duties including document and report processing, receiving,
and issuing supplies and posting receipts and issues
Obtains or prepares necessary permits, right of way easements, maps, extension agreements and
other official and related documents as needed
RELATIONSHIPS
Key Internal: Operations department and Customer Service
Key External: Contractors, Customers, Government Entities and/or Vendors
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Required: High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
Licenses/Certifications
Required: Must be able to obtain and maintain all applicable Operator Qualifications (OQs). Must possess a valid driver's license or commercial driver’s license (CDL), depending upon the position and/or geographic location, and all team members must meet the acceptable driving record requirements of the Company. Must possess a Journeyman Gas Fitters license (JGL), depending upon the position and/or geographic location.
Experience
Related Experience
Required: Zero (0) to three (3) years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the discipline.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA)
Required: Working knowledge of various operations functions, policies, and procedures, including, but not limited to, credit and collections, customer service, meter reading, line locating, construction, maintenance, service work, leak survey, and measurement. Working knowledge of techniques in gas distribution and New Mexico excavation law. Basic understanding of accounting principles. Ability to operate various construction and maintenance, line locating, and leak detection equipment. Ability to read maps, drawings, and gas meters. Ability to plan and organize work projects.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Field, warehouse, and/or office environment. May be required to work overtime and/or on-call and handle emergency response as needed. May be required to work at various job sites, out of town, and/or remote locations for extended periods. Personal protective equipment needed including but not limited to, safety glasses, puncture resistance boots, hard hat, respirator, and SCBA; worn while performing the field functions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ REQUIREMENTS
Regularly required to stand and/or walk to 2/3 of the time. Manual dexterity needed with the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and bend. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Work from an elevated position, such as ladders and rooftops. Will be exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and natural gas emergencies and situations. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Obtains or prepares necessary permits, right of way easements, maps, extension agreements and

Prepares various documents and reports concerning the duties assigned
