Become a Distribution Apprentice Training, Sr. Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. The Distribution Apprentice Training, Sr. Specialist will facilitate training in a classroomenvironment as well as non-classroom environments (e.g. field training). You will be the subject matter expertise in distribution, construction and maintenance. This will include changes and improvements to work processes, curriculum, test materials, new technologies and procedures. In addition, as a Sr. Specialist, you will administer and proctor classroom training tests and field assessments all while maintaining a safety conscious work environment by demonstrating and adhering to Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

• Take classroom attendance via Success Factors

• Prepare classroom, training yard and materials to meet the needs of upcoming training modules, e.g.

• Hurt man rescue, grounding, Power Point presentation, audio & video functional, etc.

• Review class participation, test & assessment results with students

• Provide classroom/training yard support to other instructors, different department units operating ontraining campus e.g.- HR testing set-up, Construction Methods new tool rollout, Engineering for newapparatus trials.

• Maintain and foster steady working relationship with Field Supervision and employees- e.g. Operations

• Supervisors, Field Supervisors, Troubleman, Foreman, etc.

Qualifications

The essentials

• Five or more years of electrical line work or related electric utility experience

• A valid driver’s license

The preferred

• Foreman/Crew leader experience

• Previous experience as an instructor

• Troubleman or service crew experience

• Experience with basic knowledge of Electrical Theory

• This position’s work mode is on-site. The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
