Become a Construction Regulatory Strategy Sr Advisor within Transmission and Distribution (T&D) at Southern California Edison and build a better tomorrow. Participate in Regulatory and Legislative proceedings and activities, focusing on matters pertaining to Transmission and Distribution (T&D).
Represent SCE’s T&D group in California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) proceedings.
Provide strategic support to T&D teams involved in CPUC investigations or rule-making proceedings.
Support, update and advise SCE executives, managers, and departments on regulatory and legislative matters.
Promote the development of new and improved safety codes, rules, standards, and procedures for our T&D employees, California, United States, and international electric and communication workers.
Participate in various External Committees to develop and advance safety codes, rules, standards, and procedures.
Serve as an expert witness, person most knowledgeable, or consultant to SCE-Law Department pertaining to CPUC regulations and investigations.
Qualifications
The essentials
Ten or more years of experience in Transmission and Distribution electrical construction and maintenance.
Five or more years of combined experience in compliance and electric utility regulatory policy.
The preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or related field.
Regulatory experience including testimony development, legal filing, witness support or related experience.
Knowledge in California electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
Knowledge of construction standards, transmission and distribution design standards, or G.O.95/128 standards.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Experience with developing and improving safety rules, standards, and procedures for T&D employees.
You should know
This position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.

Position will require up to 50% traveling throughout the state and will require some out of state travel as well.
Relocation may apply to this position.
This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
