Job Description

Position Overview

The Senior Analyst, Market Registration and Operational Compliance , will use attention to detail, technical writing, project management, and critical thinking to support various Electricity Market Registration and Operational Compliance programs. Successful candidates will be able to work independently and as part of a team.

The Compliance Analyst provides support to Invenergy's generation fleet and projects in development. Markets include but are not limited to ERCOT, PJM, MISO, SPP, IESO, and NYISO.

This role is based out of our downtown Chicago office.

Responsibilities

  • Register new assets in the markets and control access to the market systems

  • Independently serve as the Program’s Evidence & Procedure Custodian demonstrating market compliance

  • Collect, organize, and synthesize data

  • Work with internal groups to communicate updates requiring action from the projects

  • Manage program calendar and field support request via the Enterprise GRC Application

  • Conduct ad hoc industry research

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirement Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Management, Electrical Engineering, Library Services, or equivalent industry experience.

  • Demonstrated project management skills

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Nimble and collaborative work ethic

  • Willingness to travel between 5-10%

Preferred Skills

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of electricity power markets

  • Power Scheduling Work Experience

  • Coursework: Utility and Electricity Market Regulation
