Develops and implements strategies that achieve growth objectives. Facilitates the identification and development of energy solutions that meet the unique and evolving needs of our customers. Manages critical relationships with strategic accounts.

SALARY RANGE:$84,050 - $126,100 (Determined by the knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant.)

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:Business Development Manager

LOCATION:Cheyenne, Wyoming

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and implement growth strategies and recommend changes to existing business development practices to increase margin and revenue.

  • Lead the project management and analysis efforts required to connect new and existing customers to individualized energy solutions and company programs.

  • Continually surveil for new growth opportunities through expansions to new customers/markets and new solution offerings.

  • Develop business cases, proposals, financial models, and complete data analysis to quickly assess growth opportunities.

  • Provide leadership in the development of new regulated and non-regulated energy solutions by gaining a detailed understanding of customer business drivers and needs

  • Lead contract development and the discussions with new and existing large, complex customers.

  • Responsible for proactive strategic account management.

  • Responsible for strategic account retention by providing support, information, and guidance, researching and recommending new solutions.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with key internal collaborators to develop customer solutions.

  • Develops and demonstrates key alliances and partnerships that provide critical support to enhance growth outcomes and maintain customer loads.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of (7) seven years of business development, strategic account management or sales experience required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or other related area, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.

  • Validated sales ability and motivation to get results.

  • Strong initiative, organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize, ensure timely follow-up and complete multiple projects in a judicious manner.

  • Shown success in project management and delivery.

  • Ability to discuss and mitigate risk related to business development agreements.

  • Ability to quickly analyze issues, prepare comprehensive analysis and recommend solutions and alternatives for identifying/solving specific issues.

  • Ability to think and act commercially by constantly evaluating current market, customer and industry dynamics to originate new growth opportunities.

  • Excellent interpersonal, team building and customer service skills.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present effectively to diverse audiences.
