Responsibilities

Position Purpose:

Intern will develop an understanding of the assigned Financial Services business unit, as it relates to its functional purpose and will learn standard work, strategies, philosophies, programs, and initiatives within the organization.

Principal Accountabilities:

Example duties include:

  • Become familiar with the TVA business, organization, key decision makers, Financial Services processes and procedures. Intern will have the opportunity to interact with Financial Services leaders and team members while learning the key components that drive Financial Services’ strategic direction.

  • Develop working knowledge of critical Financial Services functions including: finance and accounting; business planning; enterprise planning; portfolio management; treasury and commercial energy solutions.

  • Learn to apply policies and procedures across the organizations; recommend continuous improvement changes in support of business needs, and proactively develop an understanding of policies, procedures, and culture and communicate these to new and existing employees.

Education:

Seeking majors in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Law.

Position Locations: Chattanooga, Knoxville, Nashville and virtual options available

Eligibility Factors:

· Must have completed at least 30 hours of college coursework

· Maintain a GPA of 2.75 or higher

· Currently enrolled as a full time student

· Have reached the age of 18 years old

Students may be eligible for housing assistance if the TVA official work station is more than 50 miles from the student’s permanent home address.
