Are you ready for an exciting role in our Human Resources Compensation team? We are looking for a Compensation Advisor to join our team! In this role you will provide client support and participate in the design and administration of compensation structures, policies and programs, conduct job evaluation and ensure the ongoing competitiveness of compensation through participation and analysis of market surveys.

What you will do:

  • Provide compensation advice, recommendations, and consultation to assigned clients across the organization.

  • Perform ad-hoc analyses at multiple levels of complexity which may include cost analysis, financial and performance comparisons related to total compensation.

  • Lead the market data survey data collection, matching and submission process leveraging knowledge of Enbridge organization structures/roles and collaborate with appropriate HR partners to validate survey matches.

  • Make recommendations to management after conducting analysis of market survey results to ensure relevant market findings and trends are reflected in compensation policies, programs, and rates.

  • Participate in enterprise-wide HR projects for the design of new policies, programs and procedures.

  • Provide Workday support including the clarification of compensation business requirements to support configuration, participating in testing, and conducting training as required.

  • Plan, implement, administer, and communicate to support the annual compensation review process (including Workday configuration and testing) in partnership with the HR Cycle Team.

  • Conduct job evaluations in alignment with the appropriate job evaluation methodology.

  • Create, publish and maintain total compensation plan documents, process documents and administration support documents, ensuring the Total Reward Portal remains current and relevant to support HR partners.

  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline processes, tools, and resources.

  • Keep informed of industry / market trends and developments in compensation and the competitive landscape.

Who you are:

You have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Human Resources or related area and a minimum of 4 years of compensation experience.

  • Completed or working towards Certified HR Professional (CHRP, PHR or SHRM-CP designation) is considered an asset.

  • Possess or progress towards a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation considered an asset.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Resourceful and highly results oriented with analytical, evaluation, problem solving, and facilitation skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential, and complex issues with sound judgment, tact, and discretion.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple and competing priorities.

  • Business acumen and awareness of leading-edge practices in the field of compensation.

  • Strong Excel knowledge and experience developing models with multiple data sources.

  • Experience working in and with Workday and with customer relationship management (CRM) systems like Neocase is considered an asset.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
