This position is responsible for working independently on technology-related projects and initiatives that range from small efforts to complex programs. Employees at this level have a deep understanding of Prosci methodology, approach and tools. Supervisory guidance of individuals at this level is limited to unusual or complex projects or issues. Individuals at this level identify problems, develop solutions and take actions to resolve. They also have some knowledge of complementary disciplines such as project management, agile and design thinking approaches.
This role performs activities to enable adoption of IT-enabled transformational change initiatives.
Define and develop change management (CM) strategy, approach and plan for assigned projects and/or initiatives
Understand and apply Prosci methodology, tools and approaches to internal client team members
Articulate a compelling case for change management to project sponsors and stakeholders
Explain CM concepts relative to ROI
Provide basic advice and guidance to sponsors relative to sponsor activities
Engage with primary sponsors to build coalitions
Assess an identified project to establish impacts
Understand the human dynamics of change
Take actions to mitigate adverse impacts
Develop and execute action plans to prepare, equip and support through change
Align CM staff with initiatives
Evaluate CM project progress
Use instruments and tools to describe and plan for change impacts
Recognize the need for methodology customization based on culture and past project / initiative experiences
Demonstrate how CM methods contribute to benefits realization
Assess risks to business outcomes resulting from change impacts to groups and individuals for their project/initiative
Identify potential risks and issues and develop strategies to mitigate and manage
Use metrics and measures to articulate potential issues and risks
Integrate success measures, metrics and monitors into integrated project plans
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university (Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Journalism, Education/training Business or relevant field)
Five (5) or more years of prior work-related experience
Prosci or other relevant change management certification (ACMP, LaMarsh, etc.)
Proficiency with the latest Microsoft O365 products (Teams, Yammer, Video / Stream, Forms, etc.)
Demonstrated success managing change for technology initiatives
Master's degree (Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Journalism, Education/training, Business, or relevant field)
Advanced consulting skills including negotiating, influencing, working across organizations, emotional intelligence, decision-making, cultural awareness and problem solving
Experience with large-scale change initiatives
Comfort with complexity, ambiguity and change
Competency in one or more complementary disciplines such as project management, Agile, innovation, design thinking, customer experience, training, communication, digital transformation
