This position can be located Remote / Virtual or Any Duke Energy Renewables Facility/Location. Position Summary
This position serves as a business expert within the Renewables organization for Work Management specific systems, processes, and data management. This role will utilize their expertise for ongoing business and systems support and to plan and manage improvement initiatives, as required. The Sr. Business Systems Specialist may lead projects and initiatives that cross functions, processes, and work groups. They have oversight of the family of Renewables business-critical Work Management systems/applications and work closely with our system service providers to coordinate the resolution of issues and lead efforts to design, revise, and implement solutions to meet business needs.
Provides technical expertise and guidance to Renewables organization personnel on the use of Work Management related computerized software systems. (Maximo, EZMax, PaSTA, etc.)
Provides functional and administrative management of the Renewables Work Management systems (Maximo, EZMax, PaSTA, etc.), supporting existing processes, systems, and technologies
Provides support for technology and process improvement for existing and new applications/processes
Responsible for implementing and ensuring adherence to system specific policies & procedures
Maintains accurate recording of inventory and asset data/ history for the renewables organization, utilizing appropriate tools and processes.
Ensure proper accounting is maintained in Maximo to align with corporate policy and procedure.
Develops and delivers customized training for new and existing personnel in the proper use of all Work Management tools including; Maximo, EZMax, PaSTA.
Conducts complex cost/benefit analyses; considers cost-effectiveness when recommending solutions and resolving problems
Prepares thorough and accurate business reports, effective correspondence, and accurate documentation for assisting with Management business decisions.
Bachelor Degree with 2 years of work related experience or 10 years of work related experience in lieu of a degree
Experience with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and/or Work Management (WM) systems such as Maximo, SAP, Passport, etc. (Preferably Maximo)
Ability to work in a self-directed manner and achieve high-quality and high-quantity results

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build cooperative working relationships
Effective written and oral communication skills
Excellent problem solving and analysis skills
Proficiency in administrator and/or developer level functions for Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and/or Work Management (WM) systems such as Maximo, SAP, Passport, etc. (Preferably Maximo)
Knowledge of the PaSTA Planning-Scheduling Application and/or other scheduling tools
Experience with EZMax Mobile and/or other mobile Work Management tools
Knowledge of applications such as SQL, Business Objects, PowerBI, etc.
Experience using MS Office Software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. (Extensive MS Excel Proficiency is a plus)
Basic understanding of accepted accounting practices
Ability to read and understand prints, one-lines, and three-lines diagrams, and a basic working knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems.
Good Working knowledge of Renewables work processes
Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of like-work experience.
