MasTec Advanced Technologies Content Training Manager in Centennial, Colorado


The Training Manager assists in developing training for the Technicians and oversees the efforts of the field trainers who are responsible for onboarding, supervising, and developing front-line technicians, in all service lines. Responsibilities include directing daily work, scheduling of classes, evaluating performance, planning, organizing, assisting in the implementation of and conducting training initiatives.


  • Create technical training for all Mastec AT lines of business.

  • Efficiently manage training materials and resources to meet delivery schedules and deadlines.

  • Oversee and participate in curriculum development and modification to ensure training is aligned with operational processes and requirements along with continuous improvement.

  • Provide training and guidance on training skills for the field trainers and deliver technical, product, and customer service training through demonstration, hands-on exercises, coaching and feedback as needed. Encourage, guide, support and redirect Trainers through training materials and exercises.

  • Proactively research new techniques to incorporating into the training materials.

  • Recommend new and revised content for training as needed and supply changes to training management for review and dissemination.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of activities to evaluate effectiveness of training and programs.

  • Regularly communicate new processes, procedures and technology to peers, supervisors, and Technicians.

  • Consult with Senior, Regional and Principle Experts to determine effectiveness of training programs and make recommended changes.

  • Work with peers to advance the effectiveness and excellence of the department and company through continual improvement of plans, programs and processes in order to proactively control expenses, increase value, and promote highly effective department and company practices.

  • Monitor weekly training guidelines for classrooms, field mentors, and field readiness assessments.

  • Reporting and compliance to include but not limited to LSS hours and training guidelines


  • Supervise Learning Support Specialists as needed.

  • Hire, train, coach, develop and evaluate employees through performance management, performance metrics, customer feedback, personal and team observations and feedback within the department.

  • Evaluate training conducted by contract trainers or others and provide feedback about performance to the individual as well as training and/or vendor management.


  • Participate in front-line meetings as needed.

  • Maintain accurate and organized trainee files.

  • Perform general clerical work such as filing, copying, mailing, etc.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Pay: $50,000

Maximum Pay: $70,000


Required Knowledge/Skills/Attributes

  • Expert ability to develop and deliver effective training in a non-traditional setting.

  • Solid understanding of in-home technology and product lines.

  • Expert ability to provide excellent customer service and establish and maintain credibility and interpersonal relationships with diverse group of individuals (e.g., business leaders, colleagues, staff at all levels).

  • Solid ability to handle confidential, sensitive and critical issues with demonstrated history of a commitment to ethics, honesty, integrity and credibility.

  • Solid interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals.

  • Solid organizational and planning skills; ability to multi-task; attention to detail; productive without compromising quality.

  • Solid ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines while managing internal customer expectations and resetting accordingly.

  • Solid ability to effectively take action to solve problems while exhibiting sound judgment and successful stress tolerance.

  • Solid knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and email software (preferably Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet).

  • Solid ability to negotiate and ability to clearly present ideas to influence outcomes.

  • Solid ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Adult Learning or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experiencerequired.


  • Minimum of four (4) years comprehensive training experience required. Minimum of eight (8) years field experience may be substituted for previously stated education and experience.


Work is performed in a normal office environment. Work may require using a ladder, or demonstrating heavy carry techniques. Availability, willingness, and flexibility to travel by auto or commercial airlines up 75% of the time. Work and travel outside of normal business hours, including work on the weekend, is possible and may be expected in order to perform the essential functions of the position.
