Performs highly complex analysis of financial exposure models utilizing market and credit research, to support decision making around extending credit to counterparties and managing our own credit risk.
Leads the compliance with energy risk management policies including maintaining the overall control environment, regulatory filing requirements, validating energy transactions, and performing complex analysis of mark-to-market valuations for physical commodity and financial derivative products.
Prepares and monitors the company’s external credit rating expectations including advising on risks and opportunities with market changes or internal planning assumptions.
Leads analysis of counterparty risk and credit reviews for negotiations of energy trading contracts and key supplier and vendor contracts.
Leads the arrangement of credit support agreements where needed, including letters of credit, guarantees, and other contract provisions to lead counterparty credit risk appropriately and make effective business decisions.
Manages communications related to risk management between front and back offices, the Energy Risk Management Trading Committee (ERMTC), and external counterparties.
Leads the identification, transformation and implementation related to system improvements that bring efficient and effective recommendations and improvements to the current systems and compliance processes.
Assists and performs other analysis and financial regulatory filings as needed.

In this role you will perform various risk analysis activities that support the management of the company's liquidity, credit risks, and counterparty and commodity-market related risks which requires extensive knowledge of treasury related operations and risk management principles. Develop, coordinate, track, and communicates risk monitoring results ensuring compliance with commodity trading policies; review and interpret highly technical and complex market and credit risk exposures across various commodities and with various counterparties; and supervise the company's external credit ratings and expectations

7 years of progressive experience in banking, financial administration, risk analysis, financial services or similar experience (an MBA degree or professional certification may be considered for a portion of the work experience).
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or related area.
CPA, CMA, or CFA certification.
Experience in risk management and financial exposure.
Experience with commodity trading markets, credit rating agencies and commodity contracts, and associated software applications.
Proficient with software programs and applications (e.g. Excel modeling, with aptitude of complex instrument valuation models).
Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a diverse and inclusive work environment.
