Job Summary

Dominion Energy South Carolina’s Technical Security organization has an intern opportunity available for a candidate interested in learning about enterprise level security systems. This opportunity will allow you to put your school knowledge into practical work while working along with professionals within the Technical Security and IT organizations. Some of the duties may include;

• Provide hardware/software support for the following enterprise security systems

• Access control

• Automated gates

• Closed circuit television (CCTV)

• Fire alarm systems

• Intrusion detection systems (IDS)

• Other related systems

• System designs

• Substations

• Plants

• Offices/crew quarters

• Application support for contractors during system troubleshooting

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Possess intermediate to advanced computer skills

• Possess basic analytical skills

• demonstrates good interpersonal skills and provides excellent (internal) customer service

• ability to work in a team environment

• ability to evaluate problems and make sound decisions

• possess strong critical thinking skills, excellent written and oral communication skills and strong attention to detail

Education Requirements

This is a good opportunity for an student attending a 4-Year or 2-Year school majoring in electronics based field of study, computer science, information technology or related.

Must currently have a minimum GPA of 2.5

Must have a graduation date of Winter 2024 or later.
