Job Summary

Selected student(s) will gain utility knowledge in the electric transmission area. Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain/update DESC transmission system model database

  • Prepare documentation for generator interconnection reports

  • Update transmission system maps and cases as necessary

  • Assist other engineers in the group to perform various power flow studies

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • Must have strong computer knowledge and skills with demonstrated ability to learn and powers system modeling and Microsoft Office products

  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills

  • Able to work independently and as a team

Education Requirements

  • Must be in process of obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.

  • Minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher.

  • Must have a graduation date of spring or fall 2026 OR fall 2025.
