Job Summary

Dominion Energy SC is looking to fill a vacancy in Cayce. There is one position available and will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. This position is responsible for analyzing and making recommendations for changes to internal processes and standards/specifications to create more efficient and economical operations for Dominion Energy South Carolina's (DESC's) Electric Transmission Support Department and other organizational units. This role involves assisting on multiple concurrent projects to identify and document major business processes, conducting benchmarking and best practice analysis against industry and non-industry processes, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness without jeopardizing reliability, availability, or safety.

Additionally, the position will develop business cases to support recommendations, and, monitor the progress associated with the implementation of recommended changes. Apply process modeling tools, process improvement methodology, benchmarking, project management, and change management to projects.

Responsibilities are focused on the administration of DESC's obligations under the Open Access Transmission Tariff (OATT), focusing on the interconnection of Distributed Energy Resources (DER) and other generation, as well as the administration of the South Carolina Generator Interconnection Procedures (SCGIP). In addition to the above, the role involves processing interconnection requests using PowerClerk and interfacing with various internal and external stakeholders, data management, analysis and reporting, and electronic maintenance of critical backup files.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Minimum Requirements (Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications):

Business Process Analyst

2-3+ years of relevant experience in a directly related field. Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to facilitate and/or work on multiple project teams simultaneously. Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making, along with knowledge of when to get others involved. Proficient in application of business process improvement methodology, benchmarking, and change management. Strong customer service orientation.

Senior Business Process Analyst

5-6+ years of previous experience with fully executing projects. Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to effectively lead and facilitate multiple project teams simultaneously. Ability to quickly resolve complex problems and adjust work plans with limited supervision. Proficiency in application of business process improvement methodology, benchmarking, and change management. Strong customer service orientation.

Preferred

  • Strong with Microsoft Excel;

  • Ability to read and analyze contracts, regulatory orders and policies, spreadsheets, and other documents to meet regulatory requirements and develop procedures and processes.

  • Experience with project management, HTML programming, SharePoint, FERC regulations, and DESC’s OATT

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
