MISO Energy Resource Utilization Engineer (II-III) in Carmel, Indiana
Description
As our Resource Utilization Engineer , you will have the opportunity to conduct power system analysis studies that support MISO’s generation interconnection and retirement processes. Additionally, you will coordinate and interact with interconnection customers and transmission owners, engage in process improvement initiatives, and project management, and take ownership of specific processes.
Within your first year as our Resource Utilization Engineer , you will know you are successful if you:
Administer simulations and technical analyses effectively without daily oversight.
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for one of our study processes.
Prepare and deliver relevant communications and data to our customers.
Make significant contributions to our already highly functional team.
We are looking for talented professionals who hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in one of several engineering disciplines. Please refer to the list below for the qualifying degrees.
Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.

Required
Bachelors or better in Electrical Engineering Technology
Bachelors or better in Computer Engineering
Bachelors or better in Electronics & Computer Engineering Technology
Bachelors or better in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
Bachelors or better in Electrical & Computer Engineering
Bachelors or better in Electrical Engineering
Experience
Required
- 2 years: Experience related to power system planning, operations experience, or related field.
Preferred
1 year: Previous energy industry experience.
1 year: Specific experience within any of the following: PSS/E, MUST, TARA, TSAT, &/or VSAT.
