As our Manager of South Region Reliability Coordination, you will help MISO enhance the workflow and accountability model so it can be ready for the operations of the future. Real time operations is where the “rubber meets the road.” Operators and engineers work collaboratively to make complex and quick decisions. This team coordinates the use of the transmission system by ensuring flows stay within prescribed limits and partners with transmission operators and neighboring reliability coordinators to maintain reliability.

As a Manager in Regional Reliability Coordination, you will lead a team and work directly with other regional managers to ensure alignment and consistency in regional reliability operations. This team works collaboratively and transparently with our stakeholders to enable reliable delivery of low-cost energy.

You will have the opportunity to work on reliability standard evaluation, preparedness, and requirement ownership. You will also lead process improvement initiatives including automation to streamline workflows, be our industry technical representative, innovate reliability and market solutions and resolve seams challenges.

In one year as our Manager Regional Reliability Coordination, you will know you were successful if you have built meaningful relationships with your peers and customers and learned the dynamics of the daily challenges of real time operations.

We are looking for talented professionals who demonstrate MISO’s core values of Integrity, Commitment, Collaboration, Creativity and Adaptability and have:

• At least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field OR twelve years of equivalent technical work experience

• At least eight or more years of related technical work experience in a related field

We would also prefer candidates with the following:

• Energy industry experience in utility transmission or regional group having real time transmission operations

• Previous people management experience

Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
