MISO Energy Manager - Program and Portfolio Support in Carmel, Indiana
Location: Carmel, Indiana; Eagan, Minnesota; Little Rock, Arkansas
MISO is hiring a Manager of Program and Portfolio Support. Be a part of an incredible company that impacts over 42 million people by helping ensure they have electricity! You’ll drive strategic and collaborative program support and business planning for MISO’s cross-functional Business and Digital Transformation division. Develop and drive consistent processes that ensure consistent planning, financial management, compliance and controls, risk mitigation, and analysis for reporting of the key program and business outcomes. You’ll also serve as a program liaison and business partner to Corporate Planning, Finance, Compliance, Risk, IT, Operations and other applicable service lines.
As MISO’s Manager of Program and Portfolio Support, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
Collaborate across the company to ensure a supportive framework for business, financial, risk, and operational support of the programs
Oversee and support successful implementation, maintenance, and prioritization of high-risk compliance processes, procedures, controls, technology enhancements, and training needed to meet program and regulatory requirements and proactively mitigate exposure
Oversee business area budget(s) and forecast(s) based on the various portfolio’s and program’s requirements
Ensure consistent reporting and metrics support for operating plan and performance
Serve as liaison between operational and financial service lines to develop planning and reporting processes that articulate business performance
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that the services provided by the support team are meeting needs of the cross-functional businesses
Ensure the various portfolio’s and program’s business requirements are reflected in project or divisional plans to meet business objectives
Identify and advise on opportunities for business process improvements that support and expand the value proposition of identified initiatives
Mentor or coach staff to achieve individual and organizational excellence
Evaluate and manage employee performance, and establish employee training and development plans that align with organization development philosophy
To be successful as our Manager of Program and Portfolio Support, we’re looking for the following:
Bachelor’s degree, or ten years of related work experience in lieu of a degree
Master’s degree in Business or related technical field preferred
A minimum of five years of experience managing projects, programs, and teams
Demonstrated experience of keeping projects and programs on track
Examples of reporting and metrics for operating plan and performance
Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
