MISO Energy Lead Technical Training in Carmel, Indiana
Description
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team responsible for the design and execution of effective operator training programs aligned with the department's strategy.
Oversee the development of e-learning, in-person training, drills, and simulations to ensure knowledge transfer and just-in-time execution.
Evaluate and assess direct reports’ performance, fostering a positive team culture while managing workload, project scope, and timelines.
Regularly evaluate training programs and content using Kirkpatrick methodology, ensuring metrics are up to date and shared with the business and feedback is utilized appropriately.
Partner with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and ensure business objectives are met.
Manage department budgets, vendors, and consultants, ensuring efficient use of resources to meet business priorities.
Prepare and present business cases for new services that align with organizational strategy and improve operational efficiency.
What we are looking for…
Strong facilitation, consultation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to develop and manage detailed project plans and execute in fast-paced environments.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and virtual conferencing platforms (Webex, Teams, Zoom).
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence across teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in compliance with NERC standards, SOC 1, CIP, FERC, and other relevant regulations.
Experience leading technical training teams in an energy or utility environment.

Education
Required
Bachelors or better in Instructional Design and Technology
Bachelors or better in Instruction and Curriculum
Preferred
- Bachelors or better in Human Resource Administration
Experience
Required
- 5 years: Learning and Development
Preferred
- 3 years: management experience, including project mgt and conflict resolution
