As our Financial Transmission Rights (FTR) Market Data Analyst, you will help MISO carry out an efficient and fair Financial Transmission Rights Market to deliver on our vision of being the most reliable, value creating Regional Transmission Operator (RTO).

Additionally, as our FTR Market Data Analyst, you will be part of the team which collaborates with many other areas within MISO including modeling, planning, outage coordination, credit, settlements, and operations teams. You will help the team administer one of the energy markets which provides an opportunity to hedge against the volatility of transmission congestion charges that load serving entities face in the Day-Ahead Energy and Operating Reserves Market.

You will also have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects ranging from process automation to implementing ground-breaking changes to help ensure the MISO Financial Transmission Rights Market continues to provide value as increased renewable energy is integrated into the grid.

In one year as our FTR Market Data Analyst, you will know you were successful if:

• you carry out existing processes such as validating and analyzing models to independently carry out a Financial Transmission Rights monthly auction

• provide accurate and timely customer service for inquiries from MISO FTR market participants

• you c ollaborate with others to implement process improvements and transformative changes

We are looking for hardworking analysts who have at least a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following:

• Economics

• Mathematics

• Statistics

• Data Analytics

• Data Science

• Engineering

Additionally, experience in any of the following:

• Python

• Tableau

• Power BI

Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
