Description
As MISO’s Data and Analytics Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our business strategy by leading data-driven initiatives, crafting insightful reports, and delivering actionable recommendations. This position requires analytical experience, proficiency in modern data tools, and the ability to translate complex data into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders. Your work will directly help us stay ahead in a rapidly evolving industry.
Your key responsibilities as MISO’s Data and Analytics Analyst include:
Conducting in-depth data analyses to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights that influence key business decisions.
Designing, developing, and maintaining dynamic and scalable data dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
Ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data through rigorous validation and cleansing techniques.
Identifying opportunities to enhance data workflows, optimize reporting processes, and implement best practices in data collection and analysis.
Maintaining detailed documentation of data sources, methodologies, and reporting procedures to ensure transparency and repeatability.
Responding to ad hoc data requests and provide timely, accurate insights to drive business initiatives forward.
Skills needed for our Data and Analytics Analyst role include:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field or a minimum of five (5) years relevant hands-on work experience
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, and draw meaningful conclusions.
Proficiency in SQL and Python to manage and analyze complex datasets, contributing to our data analytics center of excellence.
Expertise in data visualization and analysis tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Alteryx.
Familiarity with APIs as we transition to cloud-based systems (Azure) for pulling data via API connections.
Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
