Are you a top tier and passionate strategist ready to provide recommendations on fundamental analysis and strategic directions to the Liquids Pipelines leadership team? We are looking for a Specialist, LP Strategy to join our team!

In this role you support the development, and assist in the coordination, of LP’s short and long-term business strategy through research, development of strategic thought, financial and competitive analysis, and capturing input from resources within LP and Enbridge.

What You Will Do:

• Assist in the development of the LP section of the annual Board strategic planning session and the resulting final LP materials for Enbridge day, in collaboration with Investor relations.

• Work with LP BD and Commercial groups, along with Corporate Strategy & Fundamentals and New Energies, to develop & evaluate strategic alternatives by framing strategy discussions, finding opportunities, threats and signposts, completing competitive & customer analysis, and evaluating LP’s relative strengths & weaknesses.

• Develop long-term financial asset models to evaluate different long term strategy & optimization alternatives; involves working closely with the Finance group, with input & direction from Commercial and Operations & Engineering groups.

• Develop, coordinate, review and finalize all LP materials for Executive Leadership, CEO, Board Level and external meetings.

• Multi-level leadership and employee engagement (including helping coordinate strategic information sessions and leadership conferences) to collect, synthesize, and implement input into the long-term strategic plan.

• Work closely with all groups within LP and capture, prioritize and supervise progress of key goals and objectives for the current year to support success vs scorecard metrics.

Who You Are:

Required:

• University Degree(s) in Business, or Engineering (or applicable field) from a relevant undergraduate program with a preference for an MBA.

• 10+ years of dynamically responsible and validated experience in energy, energy consulting / finance, commercial or strategy.

• Good understanding of Liquids Pipelines and ideally Market Fundamentals, Customers/Competitors, Strategic Planning, Corporate Development and Investor Relations.

• Significant experience with conducting both qualitative and quantitative analysis, including research.

• Strong ability to conceptually frame, develop insights and address problems.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to build a clear narrative.

• Sophisticated knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).

Preferred:

• Highly beneficial to have knowledge of finance and financial modeling.

• Base-level understanding of emissions, decarbonization strategies, and new energies would be helpful, but not required.
